The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdompresents a sprawling kingdom with all sorts of ruins, shrines, and even some castles. The big one is Hyrule Castle, just north from Lookout Landing. This guide tells you where the throne room is inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom– where is the throne room?
There have been priorZeldagames that presented a beautiful version ofHyrule Castle, with high walls and gardens and guards. This is not one of them. As you explore Hyrule, you’ll see the massive structure has been seriously damaged. Also, it is floating in the sky. These are trying times.
To find the throne room, make your way to Hyrule Castle and head for the central part of the structure.Since the castle is now floating in the air, you’ll need to approach from high elevation.

If you haven’t already, start by activating theLookout Landing Skyview Tower. For more information on that process, see our writeup explaininghow to get the paraglider. It all happens at once.

Launch from the Lookout Skyview Tower and glide north. You need a good bit of stamina, or you may bring along something to restore it (see our guide onhow to make stamina elixirs). As long as you meet those requirements, you can reach the throne room very early in your adventure. Just glide slowly north to reach a high outcropping. It serves as the base of a slope leading up to the castle’s front gate. Travel uphill and ascend the short set of steps. Continue through the archway to reach theSanctum.
In this game, the Sanctum and the throne room are one and the same.Ahead of the entryway, you’ll see stairs along the back side of the room. They join at a high platform with the throne. A Triforce symbol hangs on the overhead wall.
Make sure that while you’re here, you head up to the throne andlight the two torchesto reveal a hidden compartment that holds theChampion’s Leathers. Otherwise, there’s not a lot to do here until a key moment late in the game.
