Fans ofThe Mandalorianare gearing up for the arrival of the third season of the popularStar Warsseries in just over a week’s time, but showrunnerJon Favreauis already looking to season 4.The Mandalorianis not only the most popularStar WarsTV show, but also the largest original title onDisney+, and it looks set to stay that way for now with the hype around the new season already high. With that in mind, it is not surprising that the fourth season of the show has not only had the green light but is already completed ahead of the season 3 premiere.
In a new interview, Favreau has hinted that a crossover event could be coming in the next season that will seeThe Mandalorian’s world collide with those ofAhsokaandSkeleton Crew. Speaking toBFMTV INSIDE, Favreau said:

“And then [Dave Filoni’s] doing Ahsoka, which I’m producing with him, but he’s the writer and showrunner on that. And so, to understand what’s happening on other shows or even Skeleton Crew, they all take place in the sameStar Warstime period. So, there’s a lot more things that we have to keep in mind and stuff that we’ve built up to from previous seasons ofThe Mandalorianas well.”
Of course this would not be the first crossover to have featured in the new era ofStar Warsstories, asThe Mandalorianoriginally spun-off intoThe Book of Boba Fett, which it then crossed over with, and also has seen the return of Luke Skywalker to directly link it to the originalStar Warstrilogy. With plenty of new characters coming into the story, and a trip to Mandalore being a big part of this season there are many avenues opening up for the show’s future.

The Mandalorian’s Season 3 Will Be The Biggest Yet.
It is not uncommon for any series to have an escalating scope when the story continues across multiple seasons, andThe Mandalorianseems set to expand its unworldly horizons once again in the new season. While discussing the show recently, director Rick Famuyiwa explained how the world around Din Darin and Grogu is about to open up. He said:
“I think every season you try to tell a simple story that connects. I can say that this season has certainly been the biggest yet, the most ambitious yet – it was almost crazy to try to do everything we’ve tried to do this season – but I think that ambition is just driven by wanting to continue to make these stories great. For me, the foundation has always been that simple relationship between Mando and Grogu. The adventures get bigger and the characters you meet might be as iconic as Luke Skywalker, but it’s always in the service of that simple story. That’s taken us to bigger and bigger places, and certainly, this season is the biggest yet.”
The Mandalorianwill premiere its first season 3 episode on March 1, with new episodes being released every week on Disney+.
