Throughout your lengthy travels inClair Obscur: Expedition 33, you will come across all facets of different monsters. Most of them will be fairly small, while others will dwarf cities. Sprong fits somewhere closer to the latter, as while you aren’t facing him on solid ground, it is able to reach the bottom of the ocean.
Because of this, he will look incredibly intimidating when you first get Esquie’s ability to swim, as this colossal being is walking around the ocean like it’s nothing. Fortunately, we have a guide to help you take it down and get one of the most overpowered Pictos in the game.

Recommended Level: 60+
Description
Stage 1: Sprong strikes the Expedition
This is a single slow attack that hits the entire party with great damage and marks everyone if it succeeds.

Stage 2: Sprong sabotages the Expedition
This is a four-hit laser attack from Sprong that comes out atnormal speed for the first three, and then slow on the fourth. Anyone hit will beMarkedandExhausted.

Stage 3: Sprong performs a 4-hit combo
Probably the deadliest attack in its arsenal, Sprong will hit the entire party with a normal > fast > fast > normal attack pattern.

Stage 4: Sprong Charges its Extermination Boom
This is a delayed attack that on his next turn will deal raid-wide damage.
Stage 5: Sprong uses its Extermination Boom
Sprong will unleash Void attacks on the party. The first hit comes out pretty fast, but the second is easy to parry and will interrupt his attack.
Surprisingly, Sprong isn’t too bad. He will go through these cycles until you, or he is defeated. The debuffs will no doubt play a larger factor in you succeeding, as havingExhaustcan be a pain to deal with, more so than the Mark. The four-hit combo will likely do most of the damage, as the rest of the attacks are fairly forgiving in their telegraphs. Even at a high level, this will require a lot of patience because of how determinate things are on parrying his irration attack patterns.

Once you’ve taken him down, you will obtain a hefty amount of XP and one of the best Pictos in the game: Cheater, allowing you to play twice in a row. The downside is that it requires40 Luminaif equipping it on anyone else.
