R.E.P.O.has a lot of items in it, but the most important ones are the items that players find in the shop at the Supply Station in between missions. Players can spend their hard-earned cash on weapons, traps, grenades, upgrades, and even helper drones to give them an advantage on clearing their next level.

How to Access the Store’s Secret Room in R.E.P.O.

Learn about the secret room in R.E.P.O.’s stores, positioned above your head and (maybe) holding an explosive present for robotic explorers.

There’s only one problem: the shop doesn’t give you any sort of stats or descriptions of what items do or how you’re supposed to use them. Thankfully, we know how to use all of the items in R.E.P.O. (and we know which ones you should avoid buying altogether).

Upgrades provide a boost to a single stat for one player, and are equipped by holding the object and pressing “E” on the keyboard.

Increases the player’s maximum stamina level by 10. This upgrade can stack.

Sprint Speed

Increases the speed of the sprint ability, making the stamina use of the sprint more efficient and allowing you to move faster.

Max Health

Increases the maximum health of the player by 20HP. This upgrade can stack.

The Strength upgrade lets the player pick up heavier objects, lift heavy objects higher, and even grab and move enemies of larger sizes at high levels. Lifted enemies can be slammed into walls and dealt damage if a player has enough strength.

It allows the player to pick up valuables, objects, enemies, and tumbling players from further away. It also allows players to extend the reach of a picked-up object much further with the mouse wheel.

Tumble Launch

Boosts the distance traveled and speed of the tumble launch ability.

Extra Jump

Grants the player the ability to double jump, allowing them to reach high up places. The tumble launch can still be used after double jumping, as well.

Map Player Count

Can be used multiple times, first adding a player counter onto the map (accessed by pressing the TAB key), and then allowing you to see the location of other players with subsequent upgrades.

Ranged Weapons

The gun is pretty easy to understand: it shoots bullets that hurt monsters (and players). There are five bullets in the chamber, and the number of bullets it takes to kill an enemy varies on the enemy’s size. Small enemies will go down in one or two hits, while larger enemies may take the entire magazine.

Be sure not to move too much, as the gun aims extremely clumsily. Also, be sure to press “E” to fire the gun instead of the usual left-click, and be very careful not to let any of your fellow players get caught in the crossfire.

The shotgun fires a hail of smaller bullets in a spreading pattern, so getting up close to the enemy is necessary to deal the proper amount of damage. It’s an extremely expensive item, and is pretty hard to control without getting yourself killed in the process. We recommend only purchasing the shotgun when you’re in the late-game stages with plenty of health.

The Tranq Gun deals no damage whatsoever, but when a hit with it lands, it will knock the target unconscious for a decent amount of time. There are a total of three shots in the chamber, which will need to be recharged in the vehicle once they have all been used five times.

REPO Screenshot

We recommend taking out enemies near pits with the Tranq Gun, then pushing them (or carrying them with the help of Strength upgrades or friends) into the gap in the floor to instantly kill them. If you’re strong enough, you’re able to also just slam them against the floors and walls.

Melee Weapons

Melee weapons are held and controlled like normal objects, but deal damage (or other effects) when they collide with a player, enemy, object, or surface with velocity.

Baseball Bat

The Baseball Bat deals an average amount of melee damage, but has an insanely high amount of knockback power. This weapon sends enemies (and your fellow players) flying across the room at high speeds.

Sledgehammer

The Sledgehammer is the most powerful melee item in the Service Station, and can be used to one-shot your fellow players (we recommend focusing your attacks on enemies, though). The Sledgehammer has the ability to destroy doors when used correctly, but can also destroy items if you aren’t careful.

The sword is a fairly-underpowered and small melee weapon with a much smaller range than the previous two items. It’s a bit lighter, so you can control it easier, but it also deals far less damage and won’t kill most enemies in less than three hits.

Frying Pan

The frying pan is mostly a gag weapon, but it can be used to kill gnomes and ducks if you’re getting especially annoyed.

Inflatable Hammer

The impact of the Inflatable Hammer deals no damage, but has a5% chance of explodingon impact with a 250 damage blast. This is enough to kill most enemies, as well as any player caught in the blast. It’s a gamble, but it could pay off in a tight squeeze.

Best Early Upgrades in R.E.P.O.

Learn which of R.E.P.O.’s many upgrades are likely to help get you through the often tough early game and build you some much needed momentum!

Grenades and Mines

The standard explosive grenade, which deals medium-to-high damage to players, enemies, and valuables. There is a short fuse on the grenade, which can be used to toss it at an enemy, or drop it on the ground near one with enough time to run away before the blast.

Explosive Mine

A high-damage landmine that instantly kills whatever activates it (as well as anyone close enough to the blast). It cannot be picked up after you deploy and activate it, so make sure to place it in a good spot.

Stun Grenade

A grenade that deals low damage, but briefly stuns enemies and players caught in the blast. Players effected by the Stun Grenade will be sent into tumble mode, and enemies will fall to the ground, opening them to being picked up and attacked (or allowing you to escape).

Stuns and deals low damage over time similarly to the Stun Grenade, but also latches on to its target and traps them in place for a brief amount of time. Players caught in the trap will not be able to recover until the trap finishes its attack, which lasts around 5 seconds.

Shockwave Grenade

Deals a small amount of damage and launches players, enemies, and objects away from the point of explosion. Sure to make a mess, so be careful where you throw it!

Shockwave Mine

Deals a small amount of damage and slows enemies for a brief period of time upon exploding.

Human Grenade

A cheaper version of the standard grenade found in the secret room hidden in the Service Shop. It behaves the same, but deals slightly less damage, but is a great last-minute addition to your shopping cart if you have a few bucks left to spare.

Duct Tape Grenade

The Duct Tape Grenade is literally just a bunch of Human Grenades taped together that explode into a cluster of grenades, each of which lights their own fuse and explodes after a brief period. This one is sure to eviscerate anyone in the room, so light it and run away quickly.

Feather Drone

The Feather Drone can be attached to an object to make it extremely light, allowing you to carry heavier objects with a low strength level. It can also be attached to players, which makes them jump extremely high and fall at a slower speed.

Roll Drone

The Roll Drone can be attached to players, allowing them to switch into tumble mode and roll across the map at high speeds. Basically, it turns you into a robotic Sonic the Hedgehog, and is great for escaping from enemies or exploring levels.

Zero Gravity Drone

Creates a bubble of zero-gravity, or grants low gravity to valuables that it’s attached to. Can also be used on enemies to pick up and slam, but it drains the battery much faster.

Recharge Drone

Stores the charge from Energy Crystals in a portable package, recharging drones and tools wherever they are deployed (outside the truck). Great for crews running with lots of gear and drones.

Indestructible Drone

The Indestructible Drone can be attached to valuables, allowing them to be dropped and hit on surfaces without taking damage. The drone will lose power based on how much damage it blocks the valuable from taking, so make sure to keep an eye out on the battery level for when it runs out. This is an instant-buy for all of our runs, and is highly recommended (especially in combination with other drones).

Other Items

Health Packs

Health Packs restore health to players, and come in three levels (marked by the size and number of + signs on the packaging). They will heal 25, 50, or 100 health based on their level, and can be saved in the inventory for later use if desired.

The 100-health pack is the most cost-effective, so we recommend choosing one player to go down to single digits in health (by sharing health with other players), then using the health pack and distributing more of the health to other players.

Extraction Tracker

The Extraction Tracker serves as a “metal detector” of sorts, and will guide the player to the nearest extraction point via the screen attached to the barrel of the tracker.

Valuables Tracker

Similar to the Extraction Tracker, except it searches for nearby valuables (stuff that you loot) instead of extraction points.

It’s just another C.A.R.T., like the one that comes standard with the company truck.

Pocket C.A.R.T.

It’s exactly like the C.A.R.T., except it’s much smaller (and cheaper). Use it as a stroller of sorts.

Energy Crystal

Energy Crystals are not stored in the inventory, but are instead deposited straight into the recharging station on the truck. The small open box on the side of the recharging station will refill the uses and energy of any tools, drones, or weapons you place inside of it.

Rubber Duck

The Rubber Duck is a throwable (kind-of) that runs on energy and has a high chance of exploding on impact. The Rubber Duck will also fly across the room and bounce off of surfaces, with a chance to explode on each impact. It’s extremely dangerous, and probably used best by throwing it into a room with enemies inside, then closing the door.

Zero Gravity Orb

Creates a bubble of zero-gravity weight, which makes it easier to carry objects and pick up enemies. It’s like a slightly-underpowered version of the Zero Gravity Drone.
