The next free couple of games for Epic Games Store is the turn-based strategy title Mutant Year Zero and the hack ‘n’ slash pixel action RPG Hyper Light Drifter.
Mutant Year Zero and Hyper Light Drifter Free on Epic Store
Starting next weeks on August 15th you will be able to pick up Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden and Hyper Light Drifter for absolutely nothing. Epic Games have been dolling out free games which have includedMoonlighter,This War of Mine,Alan WakeandFor Honor.
Continuing the freebies, from August 15th until August 22nd you may get the hybrid animal XCOM inspiredMutant Year Zero. The title gets it’s own twist with it’s quirky characters that are a cross between humans and animal-like creatures in this post-apocalyptic set world. The main characters Dux a mutated duck and Borman a boar mutation, may look a little strange, but they’ve developed some extraordinary abilities such as damage absorption and even the ability to fly.
The developers The Bearded Ladies take the traditional form of turn-based strategy, mixed in with some unique skills and enhanced headshots. Mutant allows you to hide your characters behind objects to gain cover. Start out each mission exploring the map with free-roaming, use this time to scout your enemies from a distance.
Hyper Light Drifter
This 16 bit adventure takes modern mechanics to savage lands full of treasure to uncover. A world of forgotten technologies and tainted by a terrible disease. Players will venture into this dangerous place to discover the cure. A title that’s easy to play but difficult to master with hack and slash combat. Meet challenging enemies, use upgradeable weapons, learn to use new skills to suit your play style.
