Get To The Sword Challenge
Kirby’s Return To Dream Land Deluxe has a number ofdifferent challenges for you to complete, all of which are housed inMagalor’s ship. This can be found by choosing to go to theLor Starcutterfrom the menu, and it will place you right outside the ship. At this point, head into the ship, and you will find yourself right where the image directly above shows. From here, head to the right to find the variousability challenges.
None of these challenges will be available to you at the beginning, but they will start to be unlocked as youcollect more Energy Spheres. The Sword Challenge, in particular, is the first one you will unlock and will want to try out.

Get Sword Challenge Gold Medal
As you would expect, you will be using the Sword ability for thistwo and half minute challenge. As soon as the challenge starts, you need to start running right and grabbing all silver coins that you see while also taking out any enemies. There are also gold coins in more hidden places that you should always try to find as well. Avoid getting hit by any means necessary, as it will take away 500 points per hit.
Make great use of the dangling platforms that are hanging up by a rope to slice and drop on enemies, but also watch out not to drop ones that would prevent you from getting coins. This becomes especially important in the second area as you are dropping down. This will likely take youmultiple tries to see which platforms are the best to dropand such.

Each of the two areas of this challenge has a secret room that is hidden. The first room is higher up, just after the first floating platform, with a little standing area hanging out of the wall that you can reach.Jump up and walk through the semi-transparent wallto get to a door. For the second area, you need to keep an eye out on the right side, where there is a hidden switch you need to hit by charging up your sword. This will open yet another door for you to enter and help push you toward getting the gold.
One of the most dangerous sections is the very end of the stage, which can make or break your run. There are a bunch ofsword enemieshere that you need to make sure not to get hit by while also taking them out too. There are somecoinsin this area too. Just make sure that you do not accidentally hit up when in the range of the end door when trying to use the combo-up attack to hit the sword enemies, or it may prematurely end your run.
If you avoid getting hit and manage to get most of the coins in the run, especially all the gold, you should be in very good shape to get the gold medal. If you do not, you can replay it, and it should get better with timing the more you attempt it.
