The late actor surprisingly remained tight-lipped, just like his onscreen character. Unlike MCU stars Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo, who are well known for dropping spoilers, Rickman never committed the mistake.

“He very early said to Jo, ‘I think I need to know’ and he never told anyone.”
Further, evenJK Rowlingrevealed after Alan Rickman’s untimely demise, how she shared important details with the actor. Sharing a post viaX, the author mentioned, “I told Alan what lies behind the word ‘always’.” Disclosing major spoilers about Snape’s backstory to Rickman, Rowling certainly put the franchise at risk. But the actor undoubtedly took the secrets to his grave.

Alan Rickman Remained Tight-Lipped Unlike Mark Ruffalo
Paying a touching tribute to Alan Rickman during their appearance on HBO’sReturn to Hogwarts,Daniel Radcliffeand Gary Oldman confirmed how Alan Rickman was the only one who received spoilers. But just like his onscreen character, Rickman remained tight-lipped about the secrets.
Unwilling to put the entire franchise at risk by spilling the secrets, Alan Rickman took the spoilers to his grave. According to Radcliffe, as shared byScreenRant, Rickman never shared the details even with director Chris Columbus, which although made it initially difficult for the director, eventually the crew got accustomed.
“He [Rickman] never told Chris [Columbus], he never told anyone. Chris would literally say to him, ‘why are you doing that like that?’ He was like, ‘I’ll tell you later.’”
Not many actors can do what Alan Rickman did with majorHarry Pottersecrets. Most actors fail to keep secrets under pressure and often spill the tea beforehand.
