No story details have been given yet, but it was rumored that the belovedcomic bookstory lineOld Man Loganwould be used for thissuperhero movie. That theory was shot down last month. The Old Man Logan comic was created in 2008 by writerMark Millarand artistSteve McNiven, and followed Logan after he retires as a superhero to travel across the United States. On his final road trip, he encounters several Marvel villains. The comic features a number of characters who are controlled byMarvel Studios, and not 20th Century Fox, such as Hawkeye, Hulk, She-Hulk, Kingpin and Red Skull, which would make the adaptation problematic.

BeforeWolverine 3, though, it’s possible thatHugh Jackmancould pop up inX-Men: Apocalypse, which is currently filming in Montreal. The actor and directorBryan Singer, who first cast him as Wolverine for 2000’sX-Men, had a cryptic conversation during the SDCC panel, where the director mentioned thatHugh Jackmanhas appeared in everyX-Menmovie so far, although he is not currently slated to appear inX-Men: Apocalypse. It’s possible that all could change, though, and we may see a cameo appearance from the actor whenX-Men: Apocalypsehits theaters next May.
