Can You Get Jack Sparrow in Fortnite?
Currently, you can’t get Jack Sparrow in Fortnite as he wasn’t supposed to be released until next month. After Fortnite was updated during maintenance, Jack Sparrow briefly appeared on the Shop under the Cursed Sails Pass. Our favourite pirate is an instant unlock for the Cursed Sails Pass. This Pass, unfortunately, has been taken down and can no longer be bought for 1,000 V-Bucks.
Disney Speedstorm Adds Iconic Puppet To Its Roster
A certain green puppet joins Disney Speedstorm’s cast of racers.
“For players who purchased the Cursed Sails Pass ahead of its intended release onJuly 19, please note you are currently unable to progress the Pass until the start of the event, but will retain your Jack Sparrow outfit in the meantime,” said the Fortnite Status account on X. Unfortunately, more details about this upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean crossover were revealed. More characters, including Elizabeth Swann, Davy Jones, Captain Barbossa will be available (sorry Orlando Bloom fans). Additionally, Jack’s skeleton form can be unlocked by completing the Cursed Sails Pass.
Upcoming Disney Collabs are Likely
Fortnite and Disney come hand in hand like peanut butter and jam. There are manyStar WarsandMarvelcharacters already in Fortnite, and some of Disney’s other franchises have made their way in. This includes Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, who was added during the Halloween season last year.
Disney and Epic Games also announced a partnership in February 2024. The family-friendly company invested $1.5 billion into the game studio, gaining an equity stake. It will be making a “persistent, open, and interoperable ecosystem that will bring together the Disney and Fortnite communities,” according to Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney in apress release.
We’ll likely see big properties like Avatar and maybe even Kingdom Hearts join the likes of Goku, Metallica, and Kratos in Fortnite.
Pirates of the Caribbean Video Games You Can Play While You Wait
While we wait for Jack Sparrow and other Pirates of the Caribbean characters to join Fortnite, there are a few video games based on the property you can check out. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, despite lacking a modern console port, is still available on Steam. It has a Very Positive rating on the platform. You can also check outDisney Infinity 1.0 on Steam, which has a decent explorable world based on the movies.
The Kingdom Hearts series also features the Pirates of the Caribbean world and characters. It’s strange to see a JRPG hero interacting with the realistic Jack Sparrow but somehow it works.
