During the latest update, some PC users have noticed an issue with the Larian Launcher coming up blank, not allowing them to play BG3.
If you have encountered this common issue, there are three fixes that seem to be doing the trick. Read out to find out what these are.
All Larian Launcher for ‘Baldur’s Gate 3 is Blank’ fixes
After patch number three was launched forBG3on the 13th of October, 2023, users across Steam were seeing the launcher come up as a blank page. It seems like the issue is most common on PC, but Mac users have also had this issue. Here are three fixes that should get rid of this for you.
Change the language settings for BG3
This is a super weird fix that didn’t work for me, but it seemed to work for several other users on Reddit. Head to the Launcher and click the settings menu, which should still be there in spite of it being blank. Change the language setting to anything other than your chosen language, then hit theSave Settingsbutton. After that, head back into the menu, change your language settings back to your desired language, and hit the Save Settings button.

Reset the Larian Launcher
Inside the settings again on the Larian Launcher, there is aReset Launcherbutton. Press it, hitSave Settings, then reopen the launcher to see if this has cleared it up.
Get rid of the BG3 Launcher all together
For anyone still experiencing an issue with the Baldur’s Gate 3 Larian launcher, there is a way to get around getting it to pop up at all. Click the gear logo to the right of the BG3 screen. It will bring up the management menu for the game. In the box called Startup Options, type in:–skip-launcher, then save the settings. This will force-launch the game without bringing up the launcher at all.
