The Primogenitor is a boss you may find within the Hatchery in N’Erud inRemnant 2. It’s a pretty gross parasite that burrows itself into other larger bugs for protection. Suffice to say, this fight can be a pain. Not only do you have to deal with the Primogenitor itself, but also the legions of other enemies that flood the room. But here’s a basic breakdown of how to beat the Primogenitor inRemnant 2.
Remnant 2: How to beat the Primogenitor
The way I went about taking care of the Primogenitor inRemnant 2was more of a strategic approach. First up, you’ll want toequip a slow-firing accurate weapon that deals a lot of damage. I used the Huntmaster M1 for this on my Hunter character. This weapon allows you to deal lots of damage to the Primogenitor. Particularly during the phases where it burrows into the larger hovering creatures. But it won’t be as good at dealing with the onslaught of bugs that come to attack you. Thankfully the arena gives you plenty of areas to run to which can help you avoid the bugs heading your way.
The Primogenitor boss fight plays out fairly simply, unlike a lot of other bosses inRemnant 2. The Primogenitor will routinelyburrow itselfinto one of thelarger flying bugsthat hover around the arena. Killing the large bug forces the Primogenitor to fall to the ground. This makes it easier to attack with melee weapons and other close-range attacks. However, when you’ve got other bugs on the screen it can be hard to get decent attacks on it. So, my strategy here is to deal the majority of the damage to the Primogenitor when it’s inside the larger bugs.

Its body juts outquite a bit when it’sburrowed into these larger enemies. And since it follows such a simple pattern, shooting it while it’s stuck there is surprisingly easy. This is where a more accurate weapon becomes really useful since you can more reliably damage the Primogenitor and not the bug it’s hiding in. But even if you do kill one of these bugs, the Primogenitor will soon climb up and find a new bug to hide in. So just repeat this process and stay clear of other bugs until it’s dead. This method is even easier in co-op.Have one or two players focusing on the enemies filling the area, and one person focusing on the Primogenitor. That way, you can easily provide enough cover for each other and make the boss fight a cakewalk.
With that method, the Primogenitor shouldn’t prove to be too much trouble inRemnant 2. Just make sure you’re well prepared. You can alwaysbuy new equipment from the vendorsaround Ward 13.
