How to Add Friends in Honkai: Star Rail

When you first log into the game and start the tutorial, you’re met with a few options in the main menu. As you continue through the story and complete quests, you’ll gradually unlock more features, from team setup to Operation Briefing and additional tutorials.

The friend menu, in particular, will take you a little while to access. Even after finishing the tutorial and completing a few quests, you’ll still have a ways to go before then. You’ll have to continue through the story for a few hours until you board the Astral Express and begin the “Today Is Yesterday’s Tomorrow” quest line. If you skipped side missions, you’ll be around Trailblaze level 7-8 by this point.

Once you board the train and meet Pom-Pom, you’ll have a few little side tasks to complete before unlocking the friends feature! From here, you can access the menu with the following steps:
