How to Utilize Hawkeye’s Abilities
You’ll need quick reflexes and precise aim with Hawkeye.
When playing Hawkeye, you’ll want to make frequent use of Hypersonic Arrow and Skyward Leap.Hypersonic Arrowis a fantastic tool that will make sure that you stall enemies slightly as they push forward. It isn’t anything flashy or amazing on its own, but it still provides some excellent support for your team to catch anyone who is a high priority on the enemy team.
Skyward Leapwill allow you to make sure that safety is always within reach while in a fight, allowing quick escapes or buying you some extra time while your team backs you up. These two skills in particular will ensure that you are dealing some area of effect damage to groups of enemies while also applying slow to them and jumping to safety if anyone gets too close.

Ronin Slashmay seem like a normal melee attack, but it is still another excellent tool to use when playing Hawke. However, using this ability will require a lot more practice if you intend to become consistent with it. Being able to deflect projectiles is a very powerful ability, but it does come with some drawbacks that aren’t immediately obvious. While it would be very entertaining to reflect explosions or effects from projectiles that hit Hawkeye, this is unfortunately not the case. Hawkeye can shake off normal projectiles, like Hela’s primary attacks, but he can’t deflect Squirrel Girl’s explosions if they do land near him.

Hawkeye Tips and Tricks
Like with many heroes in the game, always remember the suggested combo when in a skirmish.
Hawkeye’s suggested combo within the game is fairly barebones but still more of a way to handle engagements. Here it’s suggested that you useHypersonic Arrowto chip away at enemy health from a distance, applyingslowto anyone that gets hit by the arrow. If any attackers manage to close the distance and get to you, then you can useCrescent Slashto push them away. When you have an enemy targeted and in your sight, you can utilizeArcher’s Focusto increase damage dealt to enemies while you have them in your crosshair. If the enemy is still alive and at close quarters, you can use a strategic set ofBlast Arrowsto deal area of effect damage.
It should be noted that theBlast Arrowisn’t overly useful outside an enemy getting in too close. These arrows spread out the further they are shot and should only be used at someone nearby. They are still great when someone is in your face and can be used to getting a quick kill on someone who won’t get off your back. But Hawkeye has few tools to escape an enemy, slow them, and otherwise buy some time for you to charge an arrow.

With some luck and good aim, you can land a kill shot and take out almost any enemy that comes in close. Tank characters will be able to shake off a lot of your attacks andIron Fistwill make any escape attempts a hassle. This is where you’d want to consider switching arrows to get them to back off while you escape to get some healing.
Iron Fist is notorious for getting in close and wreaking havoc, and due to his auto lock-on for his attacks, it is nearly impossible to escape his onslaught of attacks. Using the Hypersonic Arrow to slow him, Crescent Slash to push him away, and Skyward Leap will at least buy you time and allow you to escape.

Hawkeye is a solid and high-damage Duelist within the game, requiring some of the most precise aim. He has many tools at his disposal to turn the tide of battle quickly and, in the right hands, he can be an absolute monster. With the ability to deflect projectiles, double jump, and push enemies away, you can buy yourself time while your team makes their way back to help you. Success with Hawkeye requires practice and patience, as he depends on precise aim and timing. Investing time in mastering his mechanics will reward you with a hero capable of leading their team to victory through strategic play and devastating damage output.
