Many of the monsters inMonster Hunter Wildscome with their own unique quirks. Each has their own skillsets that players will need to learn and master if they want to take on the bigger and scarier versions, but to do this, you’ll have to battle the elements. Whether it’s fighting ice with fire or simply removing nasty status ailments, the Fire Herb is a handy herb to have on hand.

Where to Find Devil’s Blight in Monster Hunter Wilds

A key component in crafting Mega Barrel Bombs, this is where you can find Devil’s Blight in Monster Hunter Wilds.

What is Fire Herb?

Fire Herbs are a fairly scarce herb found throughout the world of Monster Hunter Wilds. They are meant to be a crafting item for various items that can be vital for not only your survival, but help take down some of the bigger threats.

The Fire Herb is used in the Cleanser hunting item which removes frost or webbing, which is pretty significant against Lala Barina and Jin Dahaad. Additionally, it’s used in the craft of Gunpowder, which is immensely useful if you want to craft Large Barrel Bombs, giving the monsters a kick, especially when they go to sleep. Finally, if you’re someone who rocks one of the bowguns, they are used for crafting Flaming Ammo, which is highly effective against ice enemies.

Where to Find Fire Herbs

Windward Plains

The first location in Monster Hunter Wilds, the Windward Plains, doesn’t have a lot of areas where you can find Fire Herbs, but there is one that has quite a few harvesting spots. Located south of the main camp, effectively right when you get out into the open area, there will be three patches of Fire Herbs to grab. This is found inarea 8all the way west. Additionally, instead of heading out to the east into the open plains, you can head slightly south in the rock area to find a single one all by its lonesome.

Scarlet Forest

The Fire Herb is a little more plentiful in the Scarlet Forest, but the biggest problem is that it’s scattered all through this vast jungle. Because of this, we recommend sticking to the Windward Plains, but if you’re there, you may as well pick these up. The first is located just north of Area 2 down the narrow path heading up. The next is on the outskirts southwest of zone 6, which again, heads down a narrow path up to area 7. The last two are a little far out, as you’ll have to go all the way toarea 15 and 16to get. This one is just before the waterfall, and the next is down in the caves of zone 16.

Oilwell Basin

Finally, we have the Oilwell Basin. You’d think that wiith all the fire and molten rock, there would be quite a few Fire Herbs here, but you’d be wrong as it’s mostlyDevil’s Blightand Nitroshrooms. There is one spot that has two Fire Herbs to harvest. This is located rightbetween zones 14 and 16on the bottom level of the Basin. Unfortunately, this is the only spot and is somewhat out of the way to get to unless you unlock the out-of-the-way portable camp that’s right next to all the mushrooms.
