The beginning of a new year is always a good time to release some new software. We’re only two days into 2014 and already a pair of nice premium games has made an appearance on the App Store.

And now, UK-based Chillingo has released a sequel to its liquid physics puzzlerFeed Me Oil,a$2.99 download for the iPhone and iPad. And this time around, oil and water can mix for the first time…
The sequel brings more of everything, including new gadgets and contraptions such as windmills and fans.

There’s a whole bunch of brand new levels scattered across four distinct chapters. The ability to mix water and oil brings additional puzzle-solving elements that should occupy your gray matter.

You got to appreciate the upgraded graphics and the game’s new visual style.
The bigger news, however, is the improved physics engine responsible for rendering the oil mass realistically as it moves through the air, water and along ice.

To achieve the perfect score, you’ll have to finish each level with a three-star rating, which can be achieved by using as few tools as possible.

Chillingo notes that the 37MB download features“non-compulsory in-app purchases,”including the $0.99 1-solution and the $2.99 5-solution pack, as well as a pack of ten hints costing an additional $0.99.

If you’ve ever playedFeed Me Oilor similar games (i.e. Disney’sWhere’s My Water?), chances are you’re not going to need these additional packs.
