WAGNER:The internet has an interesting habit of making non-binding statements binding, so I’m hesitant to give a date that will be taken out of context and live on Reddit for a year or so. But we are going as fast as we possibly can, and we’ve got a lot of heavy lifting from Season 1 already done. We have sets, assets, visual effects, that are already done. We are hitting the ground running this season. We’re going to be pedal to the metal to get season two out as fast as humanly possible.
ROBERTSON-DWORET:And there are so many things we wanted to do in Season 1 where we were like, “That would be amazing, let’s do that in Season 2.” So it feels like we’re so much farther along and it’s honestly really exciting and we’re just really grateful to have the opportunity to bring to the screen all the things that didn’t quite fit in Season 1. We’re excited to get to now do those now.

New Vegas Might Provide Some Clues
WithFalloutseason 1’s conclusion, the core cast had their lives changed and set on the next stage of their journeys. Lucy learned the truth about her family’s links to the old world and her mother’s demise, shattering any affection she would have for father Hank (Kyle MacLachlan), whilethe Ghoul (Walton Goggins)found one of the few surviving pre-war VaultTec employees who could possibly reveal where his long-lost family is. Even Maximus (Aaron Mohen) had new doubts about whether the Brotherhood of Steel was right, despite his promotion.
However, one clear clue that unites all three leading characters is Robert House (Rafi Silver), the CEO of RobCo and one of the key playersof 2011’sFallout: New Vegas. Not only was House part of VaultTec’s shadowy leading council, but he also survived long into the post-apocalyptic landscape through technology and his own personal designs to make New Vegas into the perfect example of society. His connections to both Hank and the Ghoul will bring Lucy to New Vegas, while the Mojave Wasteland is a treasure trove of rare technology for the Brotherhood, which may bring Maximus there too.
It’s hard to determine what awaitsFallout’s protagonist in the Mojave Wasteland, given that despite the creative team’s goals to not be fixated on specific in-game lore in season 1,Fallout: New Vegashas different endings that change depending on whom the player lets rule New Vegas. As such, even those well-versed in the game’s stories may not be able to predict the series' next steps; there are numerous possibilities. Regardless of what is waiting for Lucy, the Ghoul, and Maximus in the Mojave, it is clear Wagner and Robertson-Dworet have a clear plan in mind forFallout’s next season.
