The CORSAIR branded Elgato has announced the Facecam 4K to add to its webcam lineup. The Facecam 4K features high technology features that rival a DSLR camera along with different cinematic effects. This is the first webcam to support a lens filter that are similar to those used in professional photography and film.Camera professionals will have access to detailed settings including manual ISO and shutter-speed adjustments.Users can also expect noise reduction and HDR to bring a professional look for a lesser cost of DSLR cameras.
“Back in 2022, we engineered the world’s first 4K60 webcam,” said Julian Fest, General Manager at Elgato. “Facecam 4K builds on this technology with better image quality and more creative control, at a price more people can afford. What once cost thousands of dollars in camera gear now sits comfortably on your monitor."
Going Under the Hood of the Facecam 4K
As mentioned, professional camera users will have access to many tools that aren’t found in other webcams. LUTs, a Prime Lens that is designed to maintain sharpness up to 1.2 m that features a full 90-degree field of view, manual ISO, and shutter speed can all be adjusted via the Elgato Camera Hub.NVIDIA RTXusers can apply realistic background blur for the DSLR depth-of-field effect.
Corsair Reveals New Compact Elgato 4K Capture Card
The go to capture card manufacturer, Elgato has revealed a new 4K model.
Filters can be applied including a 49-mm lens filter as users can apply cinematic styling like diffusion and starburst or to reduce glare. The Facecam 4K looks to really open the door for webcams as a sandbox of options are available.The camera supports 4K 60 FPS but can achieve zero compression from camera to computer by using USB 3.0 at 4K and 30 FPS.You can check out some of the results in actionhere.

Pricing and Bundles for the Facecam 4K
The Facecam 4K is available now from the Elgato website for $199.99. There is a Privacy Lens Cap available as an accessory for $4.99. There are four bundles currently available with one being sold out that provide discounts.
