The world is full of large enemies to climb, trip, and generally get thrown around by. These enemies are certainly tougher than the usual baddies you’re going to run into. However, even among large enemies, Golems can make for a tough fight. When rushing in head-first, you’ll likely find your weapons don’t do much. That’s why it’s important to know exactly how and when to strike these threatening creatures.

How To Beat Golems
When the golem first rises up from the ground, you may be tempted to rush in. Resist that temptation and formulate a plan. Once they’re fully on their feet, look for the glowing blue discs where joints would normally be. These are their weak points. While hits just about anywhere else do negligible damage, exploiting these weak points will devastate them. You’ll see large chunks of their health bar just fall away.
While the nights in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are generally a harrowing experience, fighting Golems at night can be useful. Their glowing weak points are very visible, meaning it’s easier to aim your strikes.

If you’re a melee Vocation, I suggest you get climbing.Drive your weapon into all of these glowing blue points. When all of the lower weak points are destroyed, climb up to the head.At this point, the head should have a glowing red weak point instead of a blue one. Destroying this final weak point will defeat the Golem entirely.
As you destroy the Golem’s weak points, they will drop Magick Medals, which can be a useful material. You’ll find these scattered on the ground after the fight.

Ranged Vocations may have an easier time hitting the initial weakpoints, but it’s important to remember that you’ll still likely need to climb the monster to hit the final weak point on the back of its head.
