The Polish company,CD Projekt RED, has shown that the vast majority of its development team is focused on the new installment of the successful series The Witcher.
The Witcher 4 Its Top Priority
There are sagas that simply should never be cut off. This is understood, for now, byCD Projekt RED, which confirmed that most of its development team is dedicated to creating The Witcher 4, the new installment of the iconic action RPG franchise. Meanwhile, these days, another of its great games,Cyberpunk 2077, continues to offer a free trial for a limited time.
CD Projekt RED places As shown in its latest fiscal balance talk of 2023, the Polish company revealed that at the moment, most of its efforts are focused on the development of The Witcher 4, the next installment of its popular fantasy RPG series born in 2007.
WithCyberpunk 2077already established as a strong game and with only some DLC that could arrive in the future, CD Projekt RED has disclosed the exact number of developers assigned to each project. As shown in the graph below, which was part of the fiscal call, 403 out of the company’s 627 developers are currently working on the development of The Witcher 4.
When is The Witcher 4 Coming Out
It was in 2022 whenCD Projekt REDconfirmed that a new installment of The Witcher was in development. With the certainty that the game will be created with the power of Unreal Engine 5, there is still no estimated date for the possible release ofThe Witcher 4.
The truth is that, also in 2022,CD Projekt REDhad stated that the game still had at least three years of work left. Therefore, and in the most optimistic and improbable of scenarios, the game could be released in 2025. However, in recent times, speculation has already begun that The Witcher 4 could arrive as late as 2026 or even 2027.
