Will It Ends with Us Ever Get a Sequel?

All this drama sounds like something out of an episode ofE! True Hollywood Story, and raises an interesting question: will there ever be a sequel toIt Ends With Us? Hoover followed upher 2016 novelwith 2022’sIt Starts With Us, which examined not only the relationship between Lily and Atlas, but dealt with the fallout of her leaving her abusive ex, Ryle.

Called a “stunning sequel” by Publisher’s Weekly, the book seems ripe for a film adaptation given the box office success ofIt Ends With Us. That being said, it’s highly unlikely that Baldoni and Lively will ever want to circle orbits again, meaning that if it were to move forward, his role as both star and director would have to be recast. There’s also the flip side of the coin, which could see Baldoni return, with Lively’s role being the one that goes to someone new. It’s migraine inducing, really.

Lively’s co-star Brendon Sklenar speaks out against negativity being thrown her way since the film’s release.

All that is to say that a sequel toIt Ends With Usremains questionable at this point, and if it were to happen, it probably won’t be for a couple of years, if not more. For now, we’ll have to keep a close eye on things and see how all this drama plays out, and if it does indeed spell the end of Lively’s more than 25-year career.
