Some reports also suggest the same, claiming that the movie will take inspiration from the events of the 2015Secret Wars, which also features a sort of reboot for the Marvel Universe, instead of the 1984Secret Wars: Marvel’s first crossover event.

There are multiple issues ofSecret Wars.While there are numerous assumptions regarding which issue the studio is planning to adapt forAvengers: Secret Wars,many believe it could be a loose adaptation of the 1984 and 2015 issues ofSecret Wars.
The events of both take place in Battleworld, where The Beyonder transports Marvel heroes and villains to fight each other. The 1984 comic issues feature the first crossover event, as it brings together several Marvel heroes and villains. The same follows in the 2015 issues. However, it results in incursions of realities as they collide and destroy each other.
The concept of incursions was introduced in the 2022 filmDoctor Strangein the Multiverse of Madness.It is believed to be the reason why the studio may adapt the events of the 2015 Secret Wars comic forAvengers 6,which could then result in a soft reboot or reset for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
