Mundfish have announced a new DLC will be launching this summer for Atomic Heart venturing into a new location Facility 3826.

Atomic Heart DLC Will Explore Area of Facility 3826

The Soviet-themed nightmare RPG sets to return this summer as the developer behind it Mundfish have announced a new DLC will be dropping. The new content will explore a new unforeseen area Facility 3826. You know when you see “facility” in the name that something experimental must be in its depths.

The DLC is part of the Season Pass, one of four expansions already planned for the game. The description for Facility 3826 teases “many undiscovered places” and “extraordinary locations”. If the other areas of Atomic Heart are anything to go by there has to be some nightmarish inhabitants to meet too.

A brief teaser trailer previews some underwater action, maybe exploring some things below the surface and a quick look at the new facility. It looks almost theme park in nature with its winding pathways.

About Atomic Heart

In case you missed it Atomic Heart is set in an alternate telling of the history. One where the USSR was successful in creating robots in 1955. However, a sabotaged release of a new upgrade has the place going haywire. It’s up to you as an elite soldier to find out what went wrong and also kick some metal butt. Together with a handy (and we mean handy) Power Glove that unleashed a number of useful abilities including freezing enemies in place and protecting yourself with energy shields. Atomic Heart’s in-your-face sense of humour, exploits and fast-paced frantic gameplay combines inspiration from Bioshock with more puzzle-orientated content.

It looks like the DLC will offer plenty more for players to explore and further mysteries to unravel. Let’s hope the mutants haven’t mutated further.

Atomic Heart

Atomic Heartwas released for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series and Xbox One. The first of the four DLCs will drop this summer.
