The Sky Is Everywherewas first picked upas a film adaptationbyApple TV+and A24 way back in 2019. Over the course of 2020, we saw the cast fill out. But it wouldn’t be until January of 2022 that wefinally got a first lookat the upcoming film adaptation of the popular young adult novel.
But now things are moving pretty quickly as Apple TV+ moves towards the premiere date, which is set for this upcoming Valentine’s Day weekend. The film, which is based on the book of the same name written by Jandy Nelson, is set to start streaming on Apple’s streaming service Friday, June 24, 2025.
As first spotted by9to5Mac, the trailer forThe Sky Is Everywhereis now available to watch on YouTube. However, it’s an unlisted upload, and it actually shows that Apple TV+ uploaded it on January 13. Plus, the official description attached to the trailer indicates Apple doesn’t actually plan to make it public until the early stages of next month.
Still, if you’ve been eagerly anticipating the launch of this one, at least you’re able to watch the first official trailer (which measures in at over two minutes) now, in the video above.
As for the cast, we know that Grace Kaufmanis going to star as Lennie Walker. Cherry Jones and Jason Segelalso joined the castback in 2020. Pico Alexander (A Most Violent Year) is starring as Toby Shaw, and Jacques Colimon (The Society) takes up the role of Joe Fontaine.
The film is being directed by Josephine Decker (Madeline’s Madeline), with Apple Original Films and A24 set to produce.
