Armored Core 6is a hard game that requires you to constantly tweak your mecha build. There are multiple parts that all bring something different to the table which makes creating a great build difficult. And each mission or boss fight has builds that work better than others. But actually, here are the best builds inArmored Core 6.
Note:The best builds inAC6are only as good as your combat knowledge. Learnhow to reloadin our guide so you make the most of these incredible builds.

Best builds inArmored Core 6, ranked
Before getting to the best builds, since each boss and encounter inArmored Core 6can require different builds,I highly recommend saving three or four of your favorite buildsin AC Data. That way, whenever you lose, you can easily load a different mecha build to see if it performs better in that particular boss battle or mission rather than quit the mission, change your build, and start from the beginning.
There are hundreds of builds that exist inAC6, but these five are what I’ve found success using. The three things that really shape a good build at weight, weapon types, and legs. Here arethe best builds inArmored Core 6ranked best to worst:

Heavy high-explosive tank
My favorite build inArmored Core 6and the one that I think is the best in the entire game is the heavy high-explosive tank. While playing a tank might not be as fulfilling since it’s kind of a lame mecha type that doesn’t allow you to hop and fly around the battlefield, this tank build isabsolutely necessary to quickly eliminate bosses on your first try.
The playstyle of this buildis to roam around the ground and corner your enemies up against buildings and walls while constantly spraying with your Gatling Gun. Once they stop moving or are cornered, use all of your grenade weapons to stagger the enemy and deal extremely high damage. This pairs really well with the best OS Tuning upgrades.

The FCS of choice helps uskeep our target locked when we are close, which is exactly how you play this tank build — you want to be releasing your grenade shots when you are extremely close to your enemy. The generator hasthe best EN, or booster, recoverywhich is necessary to help us dash out of the way of big attacks. But mostly, you’ll take those attacks head-on and be fine.
For the arms, head, and corepick everything that offers the highest AP. This build is all about having high health. The downside is these parts are always the heaviest, but it doesn’t matter because this build stays on the ground and explodes everything.

Medium energy tetrapod
I love this tetrapod build because you’llhover around the battlefield which is great for dispatching groups of ground enemies and bosses. This build isn’t as strong as the tank builds and isn’t as agile as the bipedal and reverse joint builds, but it’s an extremely good build in the situations that call for it.
The playstyle for this buildinvolves launching up into the air as often as possible and hovering there as long as you can. When you inevitably have to come back down, make sure you time it so no enemies are around and so you can leap back up and hover quickly. While you are hovering, use all of your weapons to deal heavy damage, and use your Split Missile Launcher to deal heavy damage to staggered enemies.

For this build, you’ll want toselect arms, a core, and a head that are medium-weight and provide medium benefits. If you’re too heavy, you won’t be able to hover for very long. But at the same time, we do want to have some good protection because you are a sitting target up there.
The FC-008 Talbotis a great option because it helps you target close and medium-range enemies with ease and the generator providesa good amount of weight with a great booster recharge rate. The Gills boosteris best because it provides a lot of thrust which helps you get into the air quickly.
Study kinetic bipedal
When you think of a typicalArmored Core 6mecha, you probably think of this build. This build isvery average but it works in almost every encounter. Because this build is fairly strong and fairly agile, it’s great for standard missions but isn’t my first or second pick for boss battles.
The playstyle of this build is tokeep high fire-power on your enemies, dash when necessary, and close the gaps. Use your Assault Boost to charge toward enemies to high them high your Shotgun and use the Burst Assault Rifle to continuously shoot anyone who is around. The Laser Turret helps you fight and the Verticle Missile Launcher helps deal high damage.
Similar to the tetrapod build, this sturdy bipedal build focuses on pickingmedium-weight and medium-benefit arms, core, and head. If you want, I recommend leaning toward the lighter side to be even more agile. The legs of choice are a perfect example of something sturdy but also fairly light.
The Fluegal Booster islight but also provides good boost, the FCS helps withgood all-around tracking, and the generator is light but gives you agood all-around recharge. You’ll have fun with this build because it feels really true toArmored Core 6.

Melee and shield reverse joint
This melee and shield reverse joint build inArmored Core 6reallyfeels like Gundam. With this build, you’ll havefairly low health, but you’ll be extremely agilewhich allows you to avoid taking damage. You’ll also close in on your enemies and deal high melee damage which blocking enemy shots.
The playstyle of this build is touse Assault Boost to close in on your targets and deal melee damage. The reverse joint legs allow you to get a lot of height and dash often. Use your shield to block incoming damage and use your Burst Handgun and Plasma Cannon to dish out damage to targets that are too far away.
When picking out arms, a head, and a core, pick the parts that are lightweight. This build is all about speed in the air, although you will need to master dodging missiles because your health won’t be very high.
The ALULA booster is great for this build — it’s a bit heavier but booster weight doesn’t matter too much. The Talbot is best for this build because itimproves close-range targetingand the generator of choice is great torecover your boost as quickly as possible.
Fast explosives tank
The last best build inArmored Core 6is the fast tank that islighter and more agile(can you tell I love tanks?). You won’t get as great of health or firepower with this build as the first tank build, but you’ll be a lot more mobility which will allow you to dodge enemy attacks much better.
The Fortaleza tank base makes this build’s playstyle a lot more mobile but also keep a lot of high health. Since you have a strong base, you can also use some
I would recommend picking arms, a head, and a core thatlean toward the medium-heavy sideso that you get some extra health without sacrificing too much speed. While you do want to be mobile on land, you also want to be hard to take down.
Of course, I recommend the Talbot FCS because it’sthe best tracking choice for close combat. The VE-20C generator allows formore dashesbut they recharge much slower.
Fast lightweight bipedal
One of the bestArmored Core 6builds that I found online is thisfast lightweight bipedalbrought to us by Kibbles Gaming on YouTube. you’re able to actually download this exact mecha build by copying and pasting the code into your game. The code is 5YDQUFZZ9KJQ.
This build is incredibly fast and requires you to have the Weapon Tuning OS Tuning. It’s super fast andallows you to deal tons of damage.
Shotgun linear rifles bipedal
The last build that I found that is absolutely broken is a bipedal build from Steelovsky on YouTube. The code to use this mecha is 3H4RLJ50CJH8. The mecha itself ispretty bulky which allows it to take good damagewithout going down. It can also carry some pretty heavy weapons.
The combination of the shotguns with the linear rifles on the back is absolutely broken in PvP and PvE. You canone-shot stagger your enemies and then deal extremely high damagewhen they are staggered. It’s definitely a build you’ll want to try out.
If you don’t currently have the parts for these builds, you’re able to buy the best of what you have now and build up to what I suggest. Also, feel free touse these builds as a templateand find your own perfect builds. Also, as you’re building the best mecha, don’t skip the Training missions.
